“We are so excited you’ve decided to visit with us at Macland Baptist Church! Our goal is to meet the emotional, relational, physical, and spiritual needs of those in our community. We would love for you to consider being part of the Macland family. We are here to serve all those God brings in our path.”

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 3:5-6

My mission is to preach the Word of God, both in-season and out of season, that helps each person come to a mature relationship with Jesus Christ.

Michael was called to preach at age 32 and has pastored for 22 years. He graduated from high school in May 1975 and  attended New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He has been in full-time ministry since 1994. Michael is active with the high school sports programs and enjoys being their team chaplain. Michael has a passion for working with student and children’s ministries. Michael is originally from Centre Alabama and started his ministry with the Georgia Baptist Children Home in Palmetto, Ga. Michael has been privileged to preach revivals in several places across our nations.  He believes that revival in the church must come before we will see many people come to Christ.
