We ask volunteers to be in the Upper Room by 5:30 p.m. each Wednesday, and stay in their assigned areas from 5:30–6:15 p.m.
Speak, smile, and greet as many students as possible in your area. Learn names and refer to students by name.
Identify first-time guests and introduce them to other students, particularly students who exhibit leadership characteristics.
Laugh, have fun, and enjoy the pre-service atmosphere with students. During registration seasons (camp, mission trip, retreats, etc.), bring up these events in your conversations. Be aware of registration deadlines.
Seek out and initiate conversation with every first-time guest. Be intentional about introducing guests to other students, particularly StudentServe leaders.
