Billie Burgess

William Burgess or “Billie” graduated from Harvester Christian Academy in Douglasville.  He attended First Baptist Douglasville where he was saved and baptized as a child.  Billie attended college at University of North Georgia, Dahlonega Campus receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science with a minor in Marketing.  While there he was involved in Baptist Collegiate Ministry, serving in many different leadership roles.  After graduating, he served as State Missions Chair for the Collegiate Department, helping plan and send over 170 college students on summer mission.  Billie is currently at Liberty University working on a master’s in international affairs.  When he finishes at Liberty, he plans to move on to New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary to pursue a Masters in Missions.  Billie now works for his parents’ property management company, coaches MS and HS swimming, and travels teaching English abroad as a way to share the gospel.   

Billie is passionate about discipleship and seeing students grow in their faith. Billie’s personal charge is Philippians 3:14 “I press on towards the prize in which I am called heavenward, in Christ Jesus.”
